Who I’m Watching More Day Two

***no order, minimal explanation, Twitter @’s linked***

Back-to-back 40+ points, 10+ assists performances for Greenlight last night. In a year with so few point guard spots available, combine play could be used as a separator for teams.

Another point guard who might be moving up draft boards, Deron recorded a pair of 50-point games last night.

Another top point guard prospect because we all love talented point guards. Fanta recorded three double-doubles in four games last night.

I think there’s a chance we’re talking about WorthingColt as the top overall big man come draft day.

Arsonal, Deadeye

A couple of more centers; these two both became ‘must-watch’ the second they registered night one triple-doubles.

Four games, four 30+ point performances for Mamba on night one of the combine; that’s enough for me to look a little closer.

It’s easy to get caught up with the point guards and centers but role players matter too. Follow recorded a 20+ point, 7-steal game last night.

One more unretained player, Stylez has been one of my favorite players to watch for the duration of pre-draft.

A lot of people say various players belong on whichever lists; DJMoney is one of the few common names that I can agree within.

Doomz is one of the more ‘underrated’ players in this draft class in my opinion. He just seems to consistently make plays.

Another ‘underrated’ player in this class, EG is quietly a really solid sharpshooter prospect.

Eren & Kado

This European point guard-center duo draws some lofty comparisons on Twitter: Kobe+Pau, Kobe+Shaq. Eren, FIBA MVP, scored 37 points in his first combine game last night.

Let’s just say Kerry is confident he’s a top power forward in this class.

He lives up to his name.

FAQ: Why am I not on this “list”?

I’m glad you asked! There are plenty of possible reasons and none of them are because I hate you as a person or player. I’m sure you’re a fine 2K player, it’s nothing personal, and honestly, my opinion doesn’t matter. Here’s a blueprint from Geo on how to respond to being left any ‘list’:

Quick Thoughts

1. know there was a rough start to the evening but this combine format is incredible. First of all, the experience as a fan is unbeatable. For 5-6 hours last night there was non-stop, competitive pro-am action that legitimately meant something. As a ‘content-creator’ (genuinely hate that term), it was hectic and it’s 4 A.M. as I write this, but I hope this format is here to stay. Could there be a few tweaks? Sure, but last night was a step in the direction.

2. A lot of the same women that were trashed on the timeline for earning draft eligibility performed really well last night.

3. I know I missed stuff. The thread below has nearly 50 replies with various combine related content. I’ll release this post with a highlight thread on my Twitter (@aarontfox) and we’ll repeat this process for night two. Recommendations, suggestions, etc. all welcome.
