‘Under the Radar’ Players (7)
A few players that didn’t necessarily have a huge ‘name’ prior to the combine but performed well and impressed. If you’re an unretained player or somebody who’s likely a first/second round selection already, you won’t find yourself here. We’ll start with the poster child of this category, segment, section, whatever you want to call it…
Unguardable (PG)
Uguardable had himself a couple of nights. If anybody immensely improved their draft stock via the combine, it’s him.
Averages (8 games): 21pts-10asts-1.6stls-1.9tos-60%-54%
EG4Hunnid (SG)
Not just because EG’s Tunnel Vision teammate said so, but because EG is a legitimate talent in the upcoming draft. He played out of position during the combine and put up better numbers than some of your favorite point guard prospects. EG4Hunnid should be flying up draft boards for teams in need of a season four shooting guard.
Averages (8 games): 25pts-8.1asts-1.4stls-2.9tos-59%-56%
xoWale (C)
I watched Wale dominate the NapX tournament last week and his combine results were no different. I’m starting to think maybe he’s just good at 2K.
Averages (8 games): 15.8pts-10.3rebs-3.1asts-89%-53%
KingDoomz (SG)
I’ll say it over and over again: Doomz just consistently makes plays. He quickly became one of my favorite players to watch during the first night of the combine and didn’t disappoint night two.
Averages (8 games): 13.3pts-2rebs-1.7asts-0.7stls-0.6tos-57%-53%
Dailee (PG)
Dailee has consistently added to his collection of accolades for the duration of pre-draft. The Strait Ice point guard doubled down in the combine, performing well and averaging a double-double. Non-combine related: If you haven’t watched his recent TPO series against Greatness, add that to your list of vods to watch.
Averages (8 games): 24pts-10asts-1.6stls-3tos-58%-55%
Dawsix (Lock)
Back-to-back Strait Ice players and another prospect who shined during the NapX tournament, Dawsix has quietly been improving his draft stock recently.
Averages (8 games): 11.5pts-1.25asts-1.25rebs-2stls-0.6tos-64%-63%
Sawcfree (PF)
Sawcfree is about as under-the-radar as it gets, but he’s one of those impact guys who always seems to make plays in the right moments.
Averages (*7 games*): 11.7pts-8.6rebs-2.6asts-0.7stls-1.5blks-74%-73%
