The 76ers Gaming Crew is coming off a season in which they fell just shy of their championship aspirations. Led by flashy guard Radiant, the 76ers can score in bunches. Radiant works out of a pick and roll set with big man Steez for the majority of the offense, with sharpshooter Scretty (formerly ZDS) on the ready for the kick out. Steez is the ultimate roller and paint protector.
Point Guard Radiant dazzles with his dribbling ability, often making defenses pay for minor miscues. He’s working behind a screen most of the time, but I’m not sure he needs it. It was impressive watching him consistently create offense for his team. Scretty can SHOOT, and Radiant is always looking to dish on the drive. Between those 2 and Steez the trio should carry some important chemistry over into this new look 76ers team.
The squad shook the roster up a bit this offseason: moving Scretty to SF, drafting TuckerLocksUp/ UserPick, and not retaining players Feast / Newdini. I watched the 76ers vs Nets scrimmage game 1, hosted by broadcaster Dirk, to get a look at the fresh roster. Radiant got to the cup at will scoring 35 through 3 quarters and finishing with 50. Yes, FIFTY. Nets rookie point guard Choc (33 points, 7 assists) tried to keep up, but the veteran out-savvied the Nets in the end with a barrage of finishing moves. New starting forward UserPick seemed to fit right in, repeatedly making plays on the defensive end when needed. Final score 74-71.If you want a closer look at Radiant, check out this YouTube video from Choc. He breaks down exactly why Radiant is so effective. Very informative, and well worth the ten minutes
