NapX Prospect Showcase: Xbox Preview & Predictions

The NapX Showcase is officially here. This week, teams will square off in a round-robin style tournament to determine who will meet in the finals, where a winner and MVP will be crowned. PS5 played a few nights ago and tonight the Xbox side debuts. Important information, rosters, previews, and predictions below.

Roster Previews (Xbox)

Team Dayfri + Dirk

PG: Jumper

SG: Mo

SF: Gunz

PF: Oreo

C: KayAus

This team’s defense has potential to be the tournament’s best. Between Gunz, who might hear his name called early on draft night, KayAus, one of the winningest players in pro-am history, and Oreo, recent WR champion, opposing offenses will have trouble scoring. Combine these three with a solid backcourt in Jumper and Mo, and this is my pick to win the finals.

Team Sam + Crush

PG: Deron

SG: Faiz

SF: Dawsix

PF: Fakiee

C: Wale

I’m not sure there’s a pro-am point guard playing better NBA 2K than Deron right now. He and No Tolerance have been on fire recently, and his teammate, Fakiee, will join his team for the showcase. Faiz, Dawsix, and Wale complete the starting five as they try to replicate some of that No Tolerance success.

Team Malik + Firesticks

PG: Shotti

SG: Breezo

SF: Tayzo

PF: HOMI

C: Arsonal

This team interests me for a few reasons. I watched a lot of Shotti during the Bucks Gaming tournament and he. can. play. Tayzo is largely expected to be a first-round selection in the upcoming NBA 2K League draft. Arsonal (former 2KL pro), HOMI, and Breezo fill out Malik and Firestick’s roster. This group is my official ‘dark-horse’ for the Xbox side.

Team Champ + Goofy

PG: GlennRatty

SG: CooksOnFire

SF: Icyy

PF: Idris

C: OMGDontLose

This team reminds me of Champ and Goofy’s PS5 roster. GlennRatty x CooksOnFire feels very similar to Fanta x BOHIO and I’m excited to see how they play together. Icyy, Idris, and OMGDontLose make up a hell of a frontcourt. If the guards can mesh early, I wouldn’t be surprised if this team saw a lot of success.

Team Crush and Sam defeat Team Goofy and Champ in the finals; Deron wins MVP
